FOR TEACHERS, CLUBS AND INSTITUTES
Turn coding lessons into competitions.
Give your students challenges they want to solve. They practise reading code and fixing it, which is the skill that lasts, and they do it against the clock and each other.
What you can run today.
All of it is free and runs in a browser. Nothing to install.
GOOGLE SIGN-IN · LIVE
Live lessons
You code on a shared board. Every student sees it change and tries it in their own editor. Open anyone’s code, or put it on the board for the class.
Create your class ↗GOOGLE SIGN-IN · UP TO 8 PER ROOM
Class battles
Students race in one room to fix code or type tags. One room code gets a group in, and the room shows who finished first.

Today’s challenge
Five tiny fixes against the clock, the same for everyone that day. Put it on the projector and compare times.
Play it now ↗IN EVERY CLASS
See who is keeping up
Your class page lists each student’s streak, finished lesson steps and last active day. It shows activity, not marks.
Open your classes ↗Live lessons have no sound or video. Use them in a room with a projector, or beside a video call.
Run a tournament in 20 minutes.
You run this one yourself, with a whiteboard for the scores. You need one browser per student, and the battles need a Google sign-in, so ask players to sign in first.
STEP 1 · 5 MIN
Warm up
Everyone plays today’s challenge on their own device. Write the three fastest times on the board.
STEP 2 · 10 MIN
Heats
Split into groups of up to 8. One player per group opens a battle room and reads out the room code. The winner of each room goes through.
STEP 3 · 5 MIN
Final
The winners join one room. Put the host’s screen on the projector so everyone can watch the race.
STEP 4 · AFTER
Keep it going
Send the class a challenge link to any game. The next lesson starts with whoever beat your score.
NOT BUILT YET · YOUR CALL
Tell us what your class needs next.
We are working with a small number of teachers to decide what to build. None of these exist today:
- One battle room for the whole class. Today a live room holds 8 players.
- A leaderboard just for my class or club. See who is on top this week.
- Assignments with a due date. Set a challenge and see who finished it.
- See what the class gets wrong. Know which ideas need another lesson.
- Tournament brackets run for me. Heats, finals and a winner, without a spreadsheet.
Tell us about your group and which of these would matter. Playing and learning on Soulxer stays free for students.
Not a teacher? Pass it on.
